AGRITECHNICA 2017 a success for sustainable Finnish agrotechnology solutions

Finnish companies’ strong presence at AGRITECHNICA in Hanover in November 2017 raised interest towards Finland’s offering and boosted agribusiness exports.

At AGRITECHNICA, eight industry-leading Finnish companies showcased successful solutions that help farmers to work in more sustainable and cost-efficient ways. The Agrotechnology from Finland joint stand provided a well-working platform for Agromaster, Antti-Teollisuus, Demeca, Farmtools, JPT-Industria, LH Lift, Hakki Pilke / Maaselän Kone and Palax.

Johanna Ratia, CEO at Farmtools, is pleased with the concept of a joint stand and with the support from the Agrotechnology from Finland program.

“The joint Finnish stand was attractive and functional,” Ratia states. “We received important international publicity for our safety-enhancing fuel oil containers. We had several good meetings with potential buyers and are currently having further negotiations. It seems that we will sign a deal with several new dealers.”

Also, Pekka Vinkki, CEO at Demeca, gives positive feedback and says that a joint presence is very important especially for companies like Demeca who are just in the beginning of export activities.

“We are eagerly looking for new contacts. The joint presence at Agritechnica helped us to get in contact with potential partners,” Vinkki says. “At the moment, we are having further discussions with five dealers, from Poland, Germany and Ireland, who are interested in our ventilation solutions, manure removal technologies and our smart biogas plants.”

According to Elina Puszkarzewicz, Program Director of Agrotechnology from Finland, it is vital for the companies to have a long-term program that enables joint activities.

Valtra’s smart technology brings home prestigious awards

AGRITECHICA hosted almost a half a million visitors. The trade fair also witnessed an all-time record number of Finnish participants, as nearly 50 companies exhibited the latest technologies and solutions from Finland. In addition to the Agrotechnology from Finland stand, there were other joint Finnish stands, while some Finnish companies had stands of their own.

Finland is the source of many internationally recognized agro solutions. At Agritechica this was acknowledged once again: Valtra’s T254 Versu tractor won the ‘Tractor of the Year 2018’ and the ‘Best Design 2018’ awards.
